Turning 25 freaked me out. Why? Because no one considers you much of a kid anymore and the world expects so much more of you. Plus, your decisions are more impactful and can literally shape the rest of your life.
After all that fretting, I ended up having the most amazing birthday. I was shown so much love that I could honestly say thank you forever and it would never feel like enough.
I took some time to reflect and realized that I’ve learned a lot this past quarter century. And so, I wanted to pass on a little wisdom of my own on. Here are 5 of the life lessons I’ve learned along the way to becoming an adult.
Growing up is scary but you have to put yourself out there in order to grow and move forward. Don’t let your fear of making a mistake or failing stop you from trying new things, taking chances, and living the life you dream about. That being said…
There will never be a point in your life when you’re finally “there”. This journey we’re on is in constant motion, there is always another goal, another thought, another something. Don’t wait to be skinner before you buy that dress, don’t wait to be rich before you set out to live your life, don’t wait to be “there” or you’ll spend your whole life waiting. Now is the time to live.
Being able to share your triumphs, new experiences, and heart with someone will multiply your level of happiness times a million. Fall in love, spend time with family, laugh with your best friend. We are meant to build bonds & healthy relationships so forget your tough guy lone ranger shtick. Make & maintain meaningful connections.
It’ll all work out in the end, if you let it. I know, that sounds overly naïve and optimistic. But it’s true. I think we often doubt this fact because our ideas of where and who we’re supposed are so narrow and finite. We must be open-minded, have faith, and trust in divine timing.
This one lifetime is all we get and there are no do-overs. So make the most of yourself! Use everything you’ve been blessed with & push your limits. It’d be truly unfortunate to make it to the end of your days having never fully explored the depth of your own talents and capabilities.
My hotel room was hit at 2a.m. this morning. In the downpour of bullets I was only to grab one of my bags before escaping through the fire escape. Luckily, I made it out alive but I’ve got very few weapons and ammunition. Not to mention that there are only a few things in my bag to build a disguise with.
I’m going to enter the factory at midday while everyone is at lunch. This is the only time the guards place their guns back in their holsters. They’re plump men who like to use both hands to devour their meals.
Luck is on her side. There is a small garage in the back that is no longer in use and if the blue prints she found are correct, there is also a little known passage into the factory through here.
Tomorrow she will enter in disguise and gather information on the factory owner, Edwardo Bronte, and his black market dealings. Edwardo is an evil man who has spent most of his life engaged in selling various contraband, drugs, and even the occasional organ.
