Weekend getaways are a great way to de-stress. It’s all the fun of a vacation without the 2-week price tag.
As we get closer to the summer months, I know a few of you will set out to enjoy a well deserved two day break so I wanted to share a couple of cute bags that are the perfect size (and price) for your mini vacay.
Also, for all of us sticking around town, these bags are awesome for tackling a work weekend. On blog photo shoot days I typically pack a bag this size with: A few outfits, camera cards, something to keep me warm at night, deodorant, ponytails, etc.
I’m curious to see which bag is your favorite, let me know in the comments!
I’ve been contemplating starting a variety of series on the blog but I really want to provide you guys with info you can actually use or at least be entertained by. So I came to the conclusion that the best way to find out what you like is to share a bunch of things and see what gets a positive response.
And now on to the good stuff. Here’s how to get the new Amy Poehler book for free!
I’m kinda sorta totally in love with Kate Spade’s new flamingo print! I don’t normally keep up with the latest designer lines but I saw this adorable little pink bird print in a web video starring Anna Kendrick.
I was mindlessly scrolling through Facebook when I spotted a cute #MissAdventure video and was completely sucked in. 1. I adore Anna Kendrick, she’s like the skinnier, richer, more successful version of me. We’re both a little rough around the edges and kinda funny, Lol. 2) I’m an easy sell for cute novelty prints.
I personally can’t afford any of it but I can still appreciate the adorable design. So if you’re broke too, open a Kate Spade tab on your computer and lets be happily miserable together.
I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central forHoneysuckle White. I received complimentary products to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
We’ve got a wonderful three day weekend coming up and I couldn’t be more thrilled about it.

Forget about waiting until the weekend to have a date night!
Normally, I’m the first one to advocate saving major outings for a Friday or Saturday but not this week. On Wednesday, Will and I dressed up and went out for dinner & drinks.
I had stopped by Macy’s a few days earlier to find something new to wear. I wasn’t sure what type of look I wanted to create but after I few minutes of browsing I found the cutest little one piece.
I picked out a fun and sexy romper with a playful floral print. I decided to add a blazer both for warmth and to help my outfit look more nighttime appropriate.
Since we were doing something outside of our usual routine, the night itself took on a bold vibe. I knew a unique statement necklace and sky high heels would be the perfect accessories.
As a finishing touch, I spritzed euphoria Calvin Klein on my wrists and rubbed a little behind my ears. The sexy, sweet and very sophisticated scent was the perfect finishing touch for my date night look.
Throughout the night I kept catching whiffs of the exotic euphoria Calvin Klein fragrance and it served as a reminder of how exciting it was to be out having dinner on what would otherwise be an uneventful weekday.
So many of us get lost in the whirlwind of work and daily responsibilities that we completely forget about the importance of simply enjoying life. There will always be things on your to-do list but that doesn’t mean you can’t throw in a spontaneous outing here and there!
You can also make a mundane day more interesting by switching up your normal beauty routine. Instead of stepping out in your casual pink lip gloss, opt for a bright magenta. Or you can try a new scent like the euphoria Calvin Klein one I wore on our date night.
Also, since Mother’s Day is tomorrow and I know a few of us are doing some last minute shopping, I wanted to remind you that if you visit Macy’s or Dillard’s and buy your mom a large spray from the euphoria Calvin Klein fragrance line you will receive a beautiful and COMPLIMENTARY orchid like the one below! Two wonderful gifts all in one!
