3 Unique Valentine’s Date Ideas for L.A. Couples

valentines-date-ideasA romantic dinner paired with wine tends to be the go-to game plan for couples celebrating their love on Valentine’s Day.

Who doesn’t love good eats and adult grape juice?!

Well, if you’re looking to mix it up this year, I have 3 super unique date ideas for you and your sugar booger bear (Haha, pet names are the best.).

DATE ONE: Escape Rooms

First up on the list, is a date that allows you to experience one of the newest crazes to hit L.A., escape rooms!

Imagine yourself locked in a room with your date and a small team with no way out. You’ll have to find clues and solve puzzles if you ever want to see the light of day again!

This is the perfect date for brainy adventure seekers.

I’ll also be posting an escape room guide to help any wary newbies. Don’t worry, this is a great date year-round so if you’re a little intimidated by this idea, you can always hold-off until after you read the guide.

DATE TWO: Sex and the City Zoo

You and me baby ain’t nothing but mammals!

The L.A. Zoo hosts an annual adult-only wildlife fundraiser that is filled with decadent treats, wine, and an intriguing presentation on the most fascinating and unusual mating rituals in the animal kingdom and how they compare with human courtship.

It gets better.

You’ll be able to enjoy (for an additional fee) an intimate three-course dinner at Reggie’s Bistro inside the Zoo. The Octopus Carpaccio sounds delicious!

DATE THREE: Scavenger Hunt at the Getty Center

A classic who dunnit with a twist!

Your clues will be tied to works of art and it’s your job to piece together a dramatic tale of greed, lust, and murder!

This is one of the most challenging hunts so I would recommend turning this outing into a double date or making new friends at the start of the challenge.
