Have you ever asked yourself if you were “too old for that”? I do, all the time. Quarter life crisis perhaps?
I’m currently in the process of updating my wardrobe because I felt it needed to “grow-up” a bit. It’s taking longer than I would have hoped but rebuilding a wardrobe is expensive and without a lot of extra room in the budget, I can’t just throw everything out and replace it.
As I window shop online and look for inspiration on how to fill my age-appropriate closet, I have come across some items that I am without a doubt, too old for.
Let’s take a look.
Ah yes, a quirky pair of colorful tights & a puffer vest . My inner 6 year old is quite pleased with this look.
While the color of this sweatshirt is nice, I don’t understand why they covered it in prepubescent slang vomit. Lol
This shirt is the reason love fades and babies cry.
What are your thoughts?!
Yes, I’m horrible. But… honest. Lol. My friends say I should edit myself less and say what I think and so there it is. Niki’s opinion fresh outta the oven! But it can’t be just me that thinks these things!
And in case you were wondering, these item are from F21, Urban Outfitters, Charlotte Russe, and Wet Seal. Maybe there’s a bigger issue at hand…
Happy Monday! …Sort of an oxymoron huh? Lol. On the brightside, today will help us get one day closer to our Thanksgiving break (and Christmas!).
I made this fun little video using the Magisto app. The app itself is free but you’ll have to pay a dollar to save your video to your phone or you can sign up for their paid monthly subscription which allows you to save all your videos.
It’d be super cute to make little videos like this for family and friends this Christmas. You can send them out in place of your yearly Christmas cards. That will save you atleast $20-$40 dollars.!
The holiday season tends to hit the pocket book pretty hard so I thought you might be interested in the Magisto app.
Let me know how you plan to save to money this Christmas!
I’ve been struggling with what direction to take the blog for some time now. I’ve been testing out a variety of topics in an attempt to find something that I felt truly excited about, something that inspired me so much that I would be able to inspire others with it. Continue reading →
A last minute halloween costume ended up inspiring this fantasy shoot. With only a few moments to get ready for a halloween/birthday party this past Saturday morning, I threw together this simple gypsy look.
Will decided to take a back road on our way to the party and found this awesome photo spot. Isn’t it perfectly fitting?
I know most people only play dress-up once a year but I love creating fantasy looks year round. It’s so much fun!
I’m excited to hear what you think. Let me know what type of imaginative story comes to mind when you see this photo set.
After an overwhelming positive response to my instagram post about “date ideas”, I decided to start out with something simple and affordable.
THE COFFEE DATE
Not only is there a Starbucks on every corner, which mmeeting up easy, you also don’t need to set aside an entire day to grab coffee with someone.
You’re probably thinking about how unromantic this sounds but 1. You’ll be more engaged in your conversation because aside from your drinks there aren’t many other distractions (e.g. Dinner, movie, activity) and 2. even during busy weeks, there’s enough time for this mini date.
Will and I met for coffee a lot when we were first dating. We both had a few free minutes before work in the morning and it was a great weekday date option. Plus, it improved my mood for the entire day and it made it easier to get out of bed in the morning because I knew I’d get to see him. Don’t underestimat the mood boosting abilities of a quick chat and kiss from your significant other before work.
Now let’s get back to trying to survive another Monday.
I’m definitely a big fan of this candy-filled holiday but today my mind and heart are focused on something else. I have just lived through my second month as an engaged woman!
So far everything is moving along smoothly. We officially booked our venue a.k.a. 20% down(Thanks Grandma!). We’re so happy with our choice. It’s the perfect reflection of us. I’m going to do a whole post on it soon in case anyone else out there is looking for a spot in Southern California. I also want to share some ideas and maybe you guys can help me plan out a few things?!
I’ve also purchased my wedding dress, veil, petticoat, and shoes! I’m surprised how much got done this month. But I’m also really happy that I ordered my dress early so that they can sew me a brand new one! I’ll be the only girl to ever wear it, with the exception of my future daughter. I have a feeling she’s going to love it and beg to try it on.
That’s the latest for now, but there are more fun wedding posts coming soon!
Sometimes life takes us in unexpected directions and we have to redefine our dreams. But just because things didn’t work out as planned doesn’t mean we’ve failed. The awesome song ‘Closing Time’ puts it best, “Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end”.
I need white dresses! My plan is to wear a cute little white dress for every wedding related event. So far, so good. I wore a white spaghetti strap dress to look for my bridal gown and now I just need to prepare for the next bridal occasions!
All of these lovely LWD can be found on Lulus.com. They have an amazing selection and their prices are reasonable! Here’s the link to see everything they have available in white: Lulu’s LWD
Which one is your favorite? Isn’t that little bow adorable on the top right dress?!
