You Never Stop Being a Dancer

Strong Skinnydancer back bendDancer stretchDANCER

Well, I literally danced my pants off… and I’m not sure what else to say about it. Lol

I just love dancing. Even if I don’t do it professionally or can’t find time in my schedule or budget for classes, I can never go too long without busting out a few moves.

Do you have any hobbies that you’ll likely never give up?

Love,

Niki

I’m Too Old for This Sh*t: A Shopping Un-wishlist

Have you ever asked yourself if you were “too old for that”? I do, all the time. Quarter life crisis perhaps?

I’m currently in the process of updating my wardrobe because I felt it needed to “grow-up” a bit. It’s taking longer than I would have hoped but rebuilding a wardrobe is expensive and without a lot of extra room in the budget, I can’t just throw everything out and replace it.

As I window shop online and look for inspiration on how to fill my age-appropriate closet, I have come across some items that I am without a doubt, too old for.

Let’s take a look.

urban outfitters

Ah yes, a quirky pair of colorful tights & a puffer vest . My inner 6 year old is quite pleased with this look.

totes adorbsWhile the color of this sweatshirt is nice, I don’t understand why they covered it in prepubescent slang vomit. Lol

What are your thoughts?!

Yes, I’m horrible. But… honest. Lol. My friends say I should edit myself less and say what I think and so there it is. Niki’s opinion fresh outta the oven! But it can’t be just me that thinks these things!

And in case you were wondering, these item are from F21, Urban Outfitters, Charlotte Russe, and Wet Seal. Maybe there’s a bigger issue at hand…

Are we just too old for these shops?!

Anxiously awaiting your comments…

A Gypsy Dream

A Gypsy Dream Desert Girl Desert Gypsy Gypsy CostumeA last minute halloween costume ended up inspiring this fantasy shoot. With only a few moments to get ready for a halloween/birthday party this past Saturday morning, I threw together this simple gypsy look.

Will decided to take a back road on our way to the party and found this awesome photo spot. Isn’t it perfectly fitting?

I know most people only play dress-up once a year but I love creating fantasy looks year round. It’s so much fun!

I’m excited to hear what you think. Let me know what type of imaginative story comes to mind when you see this photo set.

tty soon,

Niki

Wedding Dresses Under $300

Okay, let me just be super real and honest for a second. WEDDINGS ARE EXPENSIVE! Like really really expensive. The food, the venue, the dress, the flowers, it all adds up to a BIG number. No one seems to mention it much as we pin to our “Dream Wedding” boards but I think we should.

Lately, I’ve been browsing dresses and I realized that some of them cost more than our expected catering fee. Heck, the designer ones cost more than what we expect to pay for our entire wedding! It’s kind of funny, and sad, and confusing. If I were a millionaire, I’d probably pick out one of the wedding dresses from my pinterest boards and have it customized, add some diamonds, unicorn hair, whatever I felt it needed. But this is REAL life and like most of you, I’m on a REAL budget.

So for every bride-to-be out there who has decided to spend less on her dress and splurge on dessert, or who can simply not afford to buy an expensive dress, I’ve complied a list of lovely options. All of them are under $300 dollars.
