After an overwhelming positive response to my instagram post about “date ideas”, I decided to start out with something simple and affordable.
THE COFFEE DATE
Not only is there a Starbucks on every corner, which mmeeting up easy, you also don’t need to set aside an entire day to grab coffee with someone.
You’re probably thinking about how unromantic this sounds but 1. You’ll be more engaged in your conversation because aside from your drinks there aren’t many other distractions (e.g. Dinner, movie, activity) and 2. even during busy weeks, there’s enough time for this mini date.
Will and I met for coffee a lot when we were first dating. We both had a few free minutes before work in the morning and it was a great weekday date option. Plus, it improved my mood for the entire day and it made it easier to get out of bed in the morning because I knew I’d get to see him. Don’t underestimat the mood boosting abilities of a quick chat and kiss from your significant other before work.
Now let’s get back to trying to survive another Monday.
I’m definitely a big fan of this candy-filled holiday but today my mind and heart are focused on something else. I have just lived through my second month as an engaged woman!
So far everything is moving along smoothly. We officially booked our venue a.k.a. 20% down(Thanks Grandma!). We’re so happy with our choice. It’s the perfect reflection of us. I’m going to do a whole post on it soon in case anyone else out there is looking for a spot in Southern California. I also want to share some ideas and maybe you guys can help me plan out a few things?!
I’ve also purchased my wedding dress, veil, petticoat, and shoes! I’m surprised how much got done this month. But I’m also really happy that I ordered my dress early so that they can sew me a brand new one! I’ll be the only girl to ever wear it, with the exception of my future daughter. I have a feeling she’s going to love it and beg to try it on.
That’s the latest for now, but there are more fun wedding posts coming soon!
Sometimes life takes us in unexpected directions and we have to redefine our dreams. But just because things didn’t work out as planned doesn’t mean we’ve failed. The awesome song ‘Closing Time’ puts it best, “Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end”.

Now, on to today’s question!
How do you know if he’s the one?
I can tell you that from the moment I met Will there was a spark. I was hooked on him instantly for reasons I couldn’t explain. I mean, when you meet a stranger you are really just going off what your gut says. But there’s a reason people often advise you to listen to your gut. So my first tip for knowing if has potential to be ‘the one’ is… Continue reading →
In general, I’m a pretty happy person. Give me a puppy, and there’s a good chance that I might explode into rainbows and glitter. Lol. In case you can’t find something adorable and small to cuddle and you’re having a rough day, here are 5 great outlooks on happiness. Enjoy!
