My 3 Favorite Videos from LoveNikiTV

How are your resolutions going for 2016 going? Any luck with the weight loss/diet? Don’t worry, I’m struggling too!

One of my other goals for 2016 is to film more videos. And while I’m busy brainstorming and planning the video content for this year, I thought I’d share some of my favorite videos currently up on my youtube channel(LoveNikiTV).

If you haven’t already, please subscribe so that you’ll be notified as soon as I post something new!

My camo jacket is a $10 dollar Ross find!

It has always gotten a lot of compliments followed by a funny look of surprise. Whenever someone has said something nice, I can’t help but blurt out “Thanks! It was only $10 dollars!” This may seem like a normal response here in blog land but in real life, people seem to find it hard to believe that I would willingly admit to spending so little on an item of clothing.

I grew up in a household that had a very small, if any, budget for clothing. Most shopping was done at the beginning of the school year and my new clothing could only be worn during school hours. When you have a small wardrobe, you have to take care of it!

As I got older, I realized how much of an effect this had on my shopping habits as an adult.

I almost always hit the sales rack first and I get anxious when I spend more than $20 on any one item. Lol.

Have any of your childhood spending habits  (a.k.a. your household budget growing up) affected your spending habits as an adult? Do you splurge because you can finally afford to do so? Or Is it hard for you to spend money because you grew in a household with such a modest budget?

This is my first Christmas as a Mrs.!

I’m so excited to be celebrating with my husband this year. I’m still trying to finalize what to wear but I do have some outfit inspiration for you today. This look is dressy and almost work appropriate. I added a crop top to make it a little more fun and less businessy I’m in the process of trying to evolve my style. #AdultingIsHard

I also wanted to share with you how you can whiten your teeth in just 60 minutes with Crest 3D White Whitestrips 1-Hour Express Teeth Whitening Kit! It’s a perfect addition to any holiday beauty routine, especially when you’re short on time.

This year I drank way too much coffee and my teeth aren’t as white as they could be. And since we’ll be taking tons of photos to capture the memories of our first married Christmas, I really wanted to brighten my smile. It makes such a difference in photos, especially those up close-up selfies.  Continue Reading

Casual Holiday Outfit with a Denim Shirt & Flats!

denim-shirt-and-skirtTop: Express (similar) | Skirt: Nordstrom Rack (similar) |  Embossed Flats: Express (here)

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted an outfit! I miss sharing style posts with you guys. They’re so much fun to shoot and I like to believe that they are somewhat helpful to you when you’re closet makes you feel frustrated and uninspired.

Today’s outfit is a casual take on holiday dressing. It also hides the extra weight I’ve put on (thank you honeymoon cruise! Lol). Here in Los Angeles, we’re expecting a sunny 73° degree Christmas but a pair of sweater tights (like these) can help you stay warm if you’re expecting a colder day.  Continue Reading
