The Charcoal Beauty Trend: 3 Products to Try Now!

After trying a sample of charcoal infused beauty scrub that I had received in the mail, I became obsessed and determined to get my hands on more charcoal skincare products!

I picked up all of these goodies featured today from Ulta Beauty. I love that they have so much more than just makeup. I was even able to pick up cotton swaps for my makeup remover.

Alright time for the breakdown!

The Garnier Charcoal Blackhead Scrub is great for clearing out your pores and cleansing your skin. This product is for you if you’re struggling with blackheads and like/need a deep cleaning. My nose pores are always in need of a deep clean and this product does pretty well without over-drying my skin. The only thing this scrub doesn’t do much of is exfoliate. For that you’ll need…

Omg this Freeman’s Charcoal and Black Sugar Polishing Mask is so magical. I’ve never tried anything like it but I’m soooo glad I decided to pick it up.

The charcoal will help cleanse your face while the sugar scuffs away dead, dry skin. It also warms up and helps you feel more relaxed. This warmth of the mask is a great de-stresser!

After you wash it off, your face will actually feel like a baby’s booty! Maybe even smoother…Lol. I also noticed a healthy glow and brightness. Love love love it!

The last charcoal product I picked up was an Earth Therapeutics Charcoal Loofah! I always like having a loofah in the shower because it helps exfoiliate your whole body and you get a better soap lather.

The texture of this little shower puff is comparable to regular loofah (sometimes charcoal = roughness). The biggest plus is that it’s enhanced with charcoal that can help remove impurities from your skin and enhance the cleansing process. As a girl with sensitive skin, I always look for products that can get all the dirt, sweat, and oil off because otherwise I’m likely to breakout or get a rash and that just sucks!

I hope you enjoyed today’s quick review! As I mentioned, I picked everything up at Ulta Beauty so stop by your local store if you’d like to try any of these products. If want to test this charcoal trend out before investing too much money, I recommend starting with the polishing scrub. You’ll definitely fall in love with it.

TTY soon!

I love the Blackhead Eliminating Scrub! When I first tried it a few months ago and felt so weird about putting charcoal on my skin but it really cleared up my acne. Love your blog, Niki 🙂

Thanks for stopping by Michelle! Charcoal definitely does seem like a pretty crazy thing to be putting on our faces, I wonder how someone even figures out it was good for skin. On my way to check out your blog!
